Founded in 2021, Kakekikoku is a hand-made knitwear label by Diane Kwak and based out of Seoul, South Korea.
Combining the alphabet vowels and designer's last name "K",
Kakekikoku delivers classic knitwear with hint of Kwak's passion for colorful street style aesthetic.
Our key philosophy is just simple;
Making stylish knitwear while praising the value of traditional hand-knitting method.
Inspirations from modern+vintage wardrobes, nature, and any kind of colorful visuals found in daily life,
all come together to make youthful , mellow and nostalgic knitwear that can be mix-matched with your wardrobe staples.
ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Diane is the recent graduate of Parsons School of Design in New York with BFA Fashion Design Degree.
She was one of the winners to win the senior material sponsorship from the Solstiss Lace Company and Swarovski Group.
Her passion for knitwear started when she took manual knitting machine course while studying at her college.
She was enthralled by the idea of making the garment right off the thread without cutting any fabrics.
After gaining experiences from several eponymous fashion labels in New York
like Blanknyc, Claudia Li, Vera Wang group, she came back to Korea to initiate her knitwear journey.

Her passion for knitwear started when she took manual knitting machine course while studying at her college. She was enthralled by the idea of making the garment right off the thread without cutting any fabrics.
After gaining experiences from several eponymous fashion labels in New York like BLANKNYC, CLAUDIA LI and VERA WANG GROUP, She later came back to Korea to finally launch her specialty handmade knitwear label in November, 2021.
Her goal as a designer is to create Kakekikoku as an inspirational space and atmosphere to the modern empowered people who seek for individuality and spirit.
